Henriquez Named NJCBA All-State Second Team

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Nick Henriquez (Paramus, N.J./Paramus), a member of the Saint Peter's baseball team, has been named to the New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association (NJCBA) All-State second team, announced on Tuesday.

Henriquez picks up his NJCBA All-State second-team recognition for the second year in a row in the utility spot and was named to the All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference second-team earlier this year. The junior playing games this season at first base, third base and the outfield while ranking second on the team in hits (54), third in batting average (.297), third in runs scored (25), third in RBIs and fourth in homers (2).  The junior posted a hit in 36 of the 49 games he played, including 10 games with at least two hits and three games with three hits. Henriquez knocked in a season-high three runs in an 8-7 win against Seton Hall on Mar. 19 and also registered five games with two RBIs.

Saint Peter's finished the 2014 season 11-41 overall and 6-17 in league play.
