Keydren Clark Update:
Game 5: Keydren Clark recorded five points in Minnesota's 83-75 loss against the D-League Select in the opening round of the playoffs of the NBA Las Vegas Summer League on Thursday.
Clark, who had a game-high 12 points in the first meeting against the D-League Select in the Las Vegas Summer League opener for the Timberwolves, shot 2-for-7 from the floor including 1 of 4 from behind the arc for his five points. The former Saint Peter's standout added one rebound in 23:06 minutes of action while making his third start in five games. He recorded both made baskets in a span of two minutes in the first quarter.
Clark has scored 43 points in the five games and is averaging 8.6 points per game in the Las Vegas Summer League.
Clark will wrap up play in the NBA Las Vegas Summer League on Friday against Portland.
Game 4: Keydren Clark scored eight points in the Timberwolves 92-54 victory against Sacramento in the first round of the Las Vegas Summer League playoffs on Wednesday.
Clark returned the starting lineup for the first time since the opening game to go 3 of 6 from the floor and 2 of 4 from behind the arc to finish with eight points. The former Saint Peter's standout added five rebounds and one assist in 17:08 minutes of action.
For the second-straight game, Clark scored all eight of his points in the first half after scoring the first basket of the game and then added a pair of 3-balls in a span of 43 seconds in the second quarter to help Minnesota jump out to a 49-23 lead going into the locker room.
Clark has scored 38 points in the four games and is averaging 9.5 points per game in the Las Vegas Summer League.
The Timberwolves will play Thursday in the next round of the playoffs in a rematch against the NBA D-Select at 5:30 p.m. Clark paced Minnesota with 12 points in the first game against the NBA D-Select. With a win, the Timberwolves would play on Saturday at 5 p.m. while loss would have Minnesota playing on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Game 3: Keydren Clark scored eight points in the Minnesota Timberwolves 80-71win against the Miami Heat in the Las Vegas Summer League on Monday.
Coming off the bench for the second-straight game, Clark scored five points in a span of a minute in the first quarter and added a 3-pointer in the second quarter to notch all eight of his points in the first half. Clark finished 3-for-3 from the floor including 2 of 2 from behind the arc and also added two rebounds and two assists in 15:49 minutes of action.
Clark ended the three games in the seeding round, averaging 10.0 points per games.
Minnesota, who finished the three games with a record of 1-2, is seeded No. 13 in the Las Vegas Summer League and will play No. 20 Sacramento on Wednesday at 8 p.m. The contest against the Kings will be shown live on NBA TV.
With a win, the Timberwolves will have a rematch against No. 4 NBA D-Select on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. With a loss, Minnesota would play the loser of the Atlanta-Portland game on Friday at 6 p.m.
Game 2: Keyden Clark scored 10 points off the bench in a 91-89 loss against Phoenix at the NBA Las Vegas Summer League on Monday.
Clark went 4-for-7 from the field and 2 of 4 from behind the arc for his 10 points. The former Saint Peter's standout was one of three Timberwolves to reach double figures in the game and is now averaging 11.0 points per game after his 12-point performance on Saturday.
Clark scored his 10 points to help Minnesota take a 74-64 lead with nine minutes left in the fourth quarter. The Suns then outscored the Timberwolves 27-15 the rest of the way to earn the come-from-behind victory.
The game against the Suns will be broadcasted on Tuesday at 12 p.m. on NBA TV.
Minnesota returns to action on Tuesday against the Miami Heat. Game time is 4 p.m. The contest against the Heat will be telecasted on Wednesday at 12 p.m. on NBA TV.
