JERSEY CITY, NJ - The Saint Peter's men's and women's tennis teams will return to the courts for an 11am match against the Leopards of Lafayette College in the Yanitelli Recreational Life Center Bubble on Sunday afternoon.
Last Time Out - The men's team fell to the Terriers of St. Francis Brooklyn by a score of 4-3. Ivan Knezevic (No. 3), Gabriel Russotto (No. 5), and Cuong Lam (No. 6) all posted singles wins. The women were victorious against the Terriers, 6-1. Lucia Radovic (No. 1), Elena Melian Puigventos (No. 2), Claudia Hellman (No. 4), Stephanie Falcon (No. 5), and Christian Resurreccion (No. 6) all posted singles wins.
History - Last year, the men's and women's teams fell at Lafayette College 5-2 and 6-1, respectively. The last time the men's team defeated Lafayette was on March 1, 2014 by an identical score of 5-2. The women's team last win against the Leopards was on February 26, 2015 by a score of a 4-3.
Scouting - The men's tennis team is carrying a 3-6 record into the contest on Sunday with wins against Division 3 programs. The women's team owns a 2-5 record with losses against conference foes Marist College, Monmouth University, and Fairfield University.
Up Next - The men's team will board the van up and head to Drexel University for a noon first serve on March 11. The women's team has two weeks off with a conference match on the last day of Spring Break at Siena College on March 14. The match is in conjunction with the men's match and first serve is set for 1pm in Latham, NY.
