JERSEY CITY, NJ - The Saint Peter's University men's tennis team welcomes Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) foe Fairfield University to the Yanitelli Recreational Life Center Bubble on Saturday afternoon for a 2pm first serve match.
Last Time Out - The Peacocks fell in MAAC play to Siena College by a score of 7-0. The men's team did not leave Latham, NY without a win as Gabriel Russotto and Douglas Nover were the lone victors on the day at No. 2 doubles.
History - The Fairfield Stags defeated the Peacocks last year by a score of 6-1. Gabriel Russotto pulled out the win at No. 5 singles last year in Connecticut. He defeated Anthony Caputo 6-3, 2-6, -.
Scouting - Fairfield University is sporting a 3-10 record with a 1-0 conference record. Their wins have come against the likes of Hofstra, Lafayette, and Rider University. Junior Stag Brad Orban, has received MAAC Male Tennis Player of the Week in back to back weeks on March 1 and 8. Sophomore Stag Anthony Caputo picked up the same award on February 8. Fairfield University was picked to finish fourth in the MAAC Tennis preseason poll.
