Marist Tops Men's Tennis on Wednesday in Conference Match

WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY - The Saint Peter's University men's tennis team fell to the preseason top ranked team in the MAAC, Marist College, 7-0 on Wednesday.
The team falls to 1-18 overall and 0-5 in the MAAC.

 

Results - The Peacocks were only able to win one game in all the doubles matches. The No. 1 duo of Andres-Sebastian Rojas and Ivan Knezevic, and No. 2, Gabriel Russotto and Cuong Lam, lost by identical scores of 6-0 against the teams of Dylan Fletcher and Justin Chanthalangsy and Javier Restrepo and Gianlucca Massa, respectively. Jonathan Paredes and Douglas Nover lost 6-1 to Rudolf Kurz and Christopher Gladden at No. 3 Doubles. Knezevic and Rojas fell to Restrepo and Kurz, respectively, by the same score 6-1, 6-1, at No. 1 and 2 Singles. Nover lost to Massa at No. 3, 6-0, 6-3. Russotto was dropped by Gladden 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4 Singles. Paredes was defeated by Fletcher at No. 5 Singles, 6-0, 6-0. Lam lost at No. 6 Singles, 6-1, 6-0, against Lars Schouten.

Up Next - The Peacocks return to the road for a rescheduled away match in Lawrenceville, NJ against Rider University. The MAAC and hOurglass rivalry match has a first serve time of 3:30pm.
