PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Saint Peter's University men's tennis team concluded their 2016-2017 season with a 1-21 overall record and 0-7 MAAC record following a defeat by the Hawks of Saint Joseph's on Sunday. The Peacocks fell to 7-0 to the Hawks.
Results - The Peacocks lost all the doubles matches. Ivan Knezevic and Andres-Sebastian Rojas fell at No. 1 against Tim Stierle and Kyle Chalmers, 6-2. Gabriel Russotto and Cuong Lam, No. 3, were defeated by Brennan Schaeffer and Scott Battaglia, 6-3. Douglas Nover and Jonathan Paredes played No. 3 and dropped a 6-3 decision to Alexander Schneider and Nick Ringle. No. 1, Knezevic, fell to Chalmers, 6-4, 7-5. Rojas lost to Andre Fick, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 2. Nover dropped the match against Tristan Boustany at No. 3, 6-1, 6-0. Russotto was defeated by Valentijn van Erven, 6-1, 6-3, at No. 4. Paredes fell at No. 5 to Michael Santa Lucia, 6-1, 6-2. Lam, playing No. 6, lost against Luis Janko by a score of 6-1, 6-2.

Jorge Rodriguez ended his final season midway through the year with one singles and one doubles wins. Andres-Sebastian Rojas ended his final season with four singles and four doubles wins. Cuong Lam ended his final season with two singles and one doubles wins. Jonathan Paredes ended his junior season with two singles and one doubles wins. Douglas Nover ended his sophomore season with four singles and four doubles wins. Gabriel Russotto ended his sophomore season with four singles and two doubles wins. Justin Sinprasith ended his sophomore season with one doubles win. Ivan Knezevic ended his freshman season with two singles and two doubles wins.
