Men's Tennis Set for Battle with Fordham on Saturday

JERSEY CITY, NJ - The Saint Peter's University men's tennis team opens up the dual match portion of their season on Saturday, October 7, in the Bronx at Fordham University. First serve is set to be hit at 9:30am.

 

Last Time Out - The team opened up the season two weeks ago at the Hofstra Invitational where they combined for 15 wins in the two day tournament. Douglas Nover and Ivan Knezevic were victorious in the "B" Doubles Consolation.

 

History - The Peacocks fell to Fordham in the Yanitelli Recreational Life Center on February 5, 2017. Nover was the lone victor in that match at No. 4 singles. The last time Saint Peter's defeated the Fordham Rams was on January 25, 2015 by a score of 4-3.

 

Scouting Report - The Rams opened up their season by splitting up the team and sending a group to the Hofstra Invitational and Quinnipiac Invitational. The team had several quarterfinals and semifinalists in both doubles and singles at the respective tournaments.

 

Up Next - The men's tennis team, along with the women's tennis team, returns on the road to travel to Hamden, Connecticut for a MAAC match against Quinnipiac University on October 14,  with first serve at noon.
