EDISON, NJ - Saint Peter's University men's tennis junior, Douglas Nover, was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (MAAC SAAC) Vice Chair, as voted on by each conference institution's SAAC executive board, on Thursday, October 12. He is currently the President of the Saint Peter's University SAAC and will serve a two-year appointment as MAAC SAAC Vice Chair.
"It is an honor to be selected by other MAAC school's executive boards for the position of Vice Chair," said Nover. "This not only gives me a voice for Saint Peter's University, it also gives me a voice for the conference. I hope I can work with Madison Arndt (MAAC SAAC Chair) to improve all of the student-athletes' experience. I am excited for this role and ready to take on all responsibilities that come with the position."
As MAAC SAAC Vice Chair, Nover will assist the MAAC SAAC Chair in all aspects of oversight related to conference SAAC operations and initiatives. Duties of the Vice Chair that Nover will take on include: attending MAAC SAAC meetings, being present on all monthly conference calls, assisting the MAAC SAAC Chair and conference SAAC administrator with the creation of meeting agendas, and assisting the MAAC SAAC Chair with all communication to institutional SAAC executive boards.
Nover is a business management major, with a minor in sports management. He is a two-time ITA Scholar Athlete and a MAAC All-Academic Team member.
