Coach Scolamieri's on the men's first conference match of the season:

"Though the final score was a shutout, 7-0, the individual scores were very encouraging for the future. A couple of SPU freshmen took Quinnipiac seniors to tiebreakers in the first set. As a team, the guys won more total games off Quinnipiac than ever since they came in to the conference."

Coach Scolamieri's on the women's first conference match of the season:

"For the women they all played further up in the lineup this year than in the past. They had to do so when playing away against the perennial conference champ, Quinnipiac. So everyone realized that it would be a difficult match. All in all, the women have to get more consistent. But despite the final score, Stephanie Falcon played one of her better matches."
