BUFFALO, NY - The Saint Peter's University softball team dropped a doubleheader to the Golden Griffs on Sunday, falling 5-0 in the first game and 6-0 in the second. The Peacock's overall record moves to 2-16 and their MAAC record is 1-4.
Game 1
Saint Peter's started Crystal Carlucci who pitched all six innings and two strikeouts. It was a short game for the Peacocks as they were able to get only four hits in six innings. The Griffs shutout Saint Peter's, winning the game 5-0.
Carlucci, Alina Guevara, Brianna Hutchinson, and Samantha Storms each recorded a hit, totaling the four hits for Saint Peter's.
Game 2
The Peacocks started Sydney Ramsey who pitched five innings. Carlucci, Storms and Nicole Feoli were able to get three hits for the team. The Peacocks were defeated 6-0.
"We showed a new level of toughness today as a team," said head coach Chris Stelma. " This team is ready to break out and make some noise."
Next up
The Peacocks will meet Niagara in a doubleheader matchup on April 10. Game one is scheduled to started at 11p am.
