Peacocks Suffer Setback in Season Finale

HAMDEN, CT - The Peacocks softball team closed out the 2018 season with a doubleheader against Quinnipiac on Sunday afternoon, dropping both games 8-0.

"We ended the season by saying goodbye to Nicole Feoli," said head coach Chris Stelma. "Nicole had a great career for us and helped make her senior year the most successful season since before her arrival. We will miss her but look forward to another season."

Game 1

The Bobcats took the Peacocks to five innings. Sydney Ramsey started for the Peacocks and pitched 4.1 innings. As a team the Peacocks totaled three hits from Harley Connors, Brianna Hutchinson and Thea Ramirez.

The Bobcats led 4-0 at the end of the fourth inning and went on to win 8-0.

Game 2

The Peacocks started Barbara Verrastro who pitched 5.1 innings. Feoli and Ramirez led the Peacocks, each recording a triple. Alina Guevara followed with a double while Connors had a stolen base.

The Bobcats took the lead in the bottom of the second leading 1-0. As the game went on the  Peacocks continued to remain scoreless and the Bobcats won the game 8-0.
