WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ - Jermaine Lascelles placed first in the men's high jump and second in the Men's 300 Meter Dash. Ohunene Albert paced the Saint Peter's women's track and field team finishing fifth in the women's 60m dash while both Carolina Herrera and Ashe Davis had a pair of top-10 finishes.
Lascelles won the high jump with a leap of 2.04m. In the 300m dash Lascelles had a finishing time of 35.53 seconds. Dexter Valley had a final of (36.79) while Gadimi posted (36.83), Percy Martin-Oguike registered (37.83), Calvin Bannister posted (39.72) and Joshua Okara added (42.42).
Albert finished fifth in the 60m dash with a time of (8.25), Herrera placed 9th with a time of (8:47) and Davis followed right behind with a time of (8.48). Avosuahi Albert had a time of (8.60) in the 60m dash and Brianne Garcia posted a finishing time of (8.86).
Herrera placed 7th in the 300m dash finishing (43.54) and Davis tagged right behind with a time of (43.70), Albert paced (44.11), Daila King followed with (44.20), Jodi Collymore registered (46.54) and Correia finished with a time of (48.34).
Jamel Presley finished third in the 60m hurdles with a time of (8.34) and Martin-Oguike finished at (9.61) and Okara had a finishing time of (9.85). Danielle Correia competed in the 60m hurdles for the women posting (10.34).
Martin-Oguike competed in the 300m dash with the men's best of (37.83), Bannister finished with (39.72) and Okara posted (42.42). Daija King topped the women in the 600m run with a time of (1:47.82), Jovana Larose posted (1.51.54) and Jodi Collymore added a time of (1:52.14).
In the men's 600m run Christian Garrido led the peacocks with a time of (1:29.01), Johannes Guerrero registered (1:29.90) , Valley added (1:40.58) and Bannister posted (1:40.58). Guerrero represented Saint Peter's in the 1 mile run posting a time of (4:42.91).
Meredith Przybocki represented the Women in the high Jump with a best of 1.57m.
Kurt Espiritu threw a 13.02m in the men's shot put event placing 11th and Chase Ledbetter threw a (12 m 25) making the finals and finishing 6th.
"The team's performances were inspiring," said head coach Phyllis Anderson. "I'm looking forward to the meet today at the Metro Season Opener at Ocean Breeze."
