Indoor Track and Field Head to St. John's

JERSEY CITY - The Saint Peter's men's and women's track and field teams will compete in the seventh Bill Ward Invite Thursday afternoon at St. Anthony High School in South Huntington, NY. The meet will be sponsored by St, John's University.

Saint Peter's will compete against more than ten schools, including Adelphi, Farmingdale State, LIU Brooklyn and St. Joseph's(LI).

Last Year's Results

Three returning participants won an event at the Bill Ward Invite, including Jermaine Lascelles in the high jump leap with a (1.95m), Shaka Shomari in the 200m dash (22.60) and Percy Martin in the 60m hurdles (8.59).

Last time out

The Peacocks had several events where they qualified for the METS. For the men, Dexter Valley, Calvin Bannister, Patrick Hamilton and Johannes Guerrero qualified to in the 4x800m relay.

Meredith Przybocki, Britany Maragh, and Alexes Washington qualified for the METS in the high jump. For the Women's quartet, Jovanna Larose, Daija King, Jacqueline Anderson and Ohunene Albert will also compete in the 4x400m relay at the METS.

Lascelles has competed strong and will continue on to the METS as well as the IC4A competition in the 500m event. Gadimi Dorielan and Valley will join Lascelles at the METS competing in the 400m.

Next Up

The on Friday, the Peacocks will compete at the Seahawk Shootout in Staten Island, NY. Host, Wagner College, will welcome the Peacocks and multiple participating schools to the Ocean Park Track & Field Athletic Complex on Friday (Dec. 9). On Sunday, the team will compete at the Ithaca College Bomber Invite.
