GALLOWAY, NJ - The Saint Peter's outdoor track & field teams finished third overall in the Stockton University Invitational. The squad earned first place finishes in the 4x400 relay for both the men and women.
"New comer Michael Spark had an impressive opening making the finals in the discus throw," said head coach Phyllis Anderson.
For the men, freshman Michael Spark placed first in the discuss throw with the best distance of 41.26m earning the Peacocks four points. Joe Ergi led with the best distance in the pole vault event clearing 4.10m.
Senior Meredith Przybocki, led the women as she cleared 1.60m in the high jump event. Brianne Garcia and Hajara Abubakar combined for 14 points for Saint Peter's as Garcia posted a best time of 14.33 in the 100m dash, while Abubakar added a time of 15:39. Ohunene Albert post a time of 28.46 in the 200m dash which earned Saint Peter's 10 points.
"I am looking forward to improved performances from all as we look to travel down to the University of Delaware," Anderson said.
Next up the Peacocks will compete at the University of Delaware in Newark, DE on April 8.
