Track and Field Results at the Delaware Open

NEWARK, DE - The Saint Peter's outdoor men's and women's track & field teams competed in the Delaware Open. The men's squad finished fifth overall. Gadimi Dorielan led the team placing second in the 400m dash and Hajara Abubakar had a season best in the triple jump finishing third.

Highlighted Men

Gadimi Dorielan came in second in the 400m dash with a time of 50.68. Mike Spark had his season best in the discuss throw with a 44.40m distance. Jamel Presley finished third in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.11 earning six points for Saint Peter's while Andy Afful earned four points with a time of 15.15.

Highlighted Women

Hajara Abubakar had a season best in the triple jump with a leap of 10.61m while Adia Ledbetter threw a distance of 11.66m in the shot put event. Suzenie St. Jermaine earned one point with a time of 15:01 in the 100m hurdles event.

"We are looking forward to the METS Championships this coming weekend" said head coach Phyllis Anderson said.

Next up the Peacocks will compete in the Metropolitan Championships on April 14-15 at Rutgers University.
