Opening Frame

The Saint Peter's women's bowling will travel to Miltonian, PA on November 3rd for the Virginia Union University Invitational at the Bowl America Southwest Lanes. The Invitational will last three days.

On Friday the teams will start baker rounds at 9am sharp. The following day the schools will do individual competitions. Sunday the competition will conclude in best of seven baker matches.

The invitational features 10 schools in addition to the Peacocks; host Virginia Union, Virginia State, Bowie State, New Jersey State, Chowan, Duquesne, Norfolk State, Mount Aloysius, Elizabeth City State and Coppin State.

Last time Out

Saint Peter's placed fourth in the Griffin Invitational on October 27th. Jacqulyn Broadford led the Peacocks finishing in fourth place averaging 171.75 pins. Amanda Santos followed with a total of 813 pins, while Carolina Hernandez finished with a total of 604 pins. Gabrielle Morales added a total of 592 pins, Nicole Wetzel  finished with 430 pins and Lidia DeSapio with 380 pins. Vicky Spirio (175) and Jasmine Hodges (136) followed.                                                      

Pin Setters

The Peacocks have four Seniors; Amanda Santos, Jacquelyne Broadfoot, Lidia Desapio and Jasmine Hodges; three Sophomores, Gabrielle Morales, Vicky Spirio and Nicolle Wetzel.

About the coach

Jennifer Houseward begins her fourth season at Saint Peter's as the women's bowling head coach. Houseward served as an assistant coach for the bowling program in 2013-14 after a successful four-year bowling career at Saint Peter's. Houseward graduated in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in health and physical education. She helped the Saint Peter's bowling squad to first-place standing at the Beach Open Tournament in North Carolina in 2009 and to the team's first winning season in program history with a 61-51 mark in her freshman campaign. She has helped Saint Peter's to a second-place finish at the Hampton Roads Collegiate Bowling Invitational in 2010 and the Peacocks reached its highest national ranking in team history after ranking 17th in the country in December of 2011.
