JERSEY CITY, NJ – Saint Peter's women's soccer head coach Melissa Sherwood has announced the addition of seven student-athletes to the 2017 roster. Nazae Craw, Isabel Fernandez, Carlee Gonzalez, Rachel Ingram, Elizabeth Pacillo, Jillian Pullis, and Victoria Scarratt join the lineup for the fall.
The incoming freshman class include Craw (Yankee United FC), Fernandez (World Class), Pacillo (Jersey United), and Scarratt (TSF).
"Our incoming freshmen are graduates of well recognized and respected youth clubs in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut," said Sherwood. "These student-athletes have played elite level club soccer throughout their high school careers and beyond. This will stand them in good stead for the transition into collegiate soccer."
The team welcomes two junior college transfers in Ingram and Pullis.
"Both Rachel and Jillian transfer in from Camden and Sussex Community Colleges where they have contributed to successful programs and already have collegiate level experience," added Sherwood.
The final team addition, senior Carlee Gonzalez, returns to the team in 2017 after playing for the Peacocks as a freshman and sophomore.
Sherwood pointed out, "Carlee is a returning Peacock who will add experience and leadership to our program. She is a player with a point to prove."
Nazae Craw – Fr. – M/D – 5-7 – Norwalk, CT – Notre Dame Catholic High School
Craw was a four-year starter at Notre Dame Catholic High School in Norwalk, CT. She was a member of back to back State Championship teams in 2015 and 2016. Craw earned division Honorable Mention in her freshman year and received the All-Division Award her senior year. She is the daughter of Janessa Caldero and Shawn Craw. Craw will be majoring in Education at Saint Peter's University.

Isabel Fernandez – Fr. – Kearny, NJ – Kearny
Fernandez was a four-year letter winner on the Kearny girls' soccer team in Kearny, NJ. She scored 37 goals and set up 24 assists during her high school career. Fernandez helped her squad to county titles all four years and she was named a First Team All-Conference selection 2016. She is the daughter of Cynthia Sanchez and Enrique Fernandez. Fernandez will be an Accounting major at Saint Peter's.

Carlee Gonzalez – Sr. – M/F – 5-4 – South Plainfield, NJ – South Plainfield
Gonzalez returns to the Saint Peter' women's soccer team after a one year hiatus. Gonzalez was a member of the squad in 2014 and 2015, appearing in 33 games with 31 starts for the Peacocks. In her two seasons, she scored one goal and dished out four assists. Prior to college, she played her high school ball at South Plainfield in New Jersey where she was a four-year letter winner. During her three varsity seasons, she scored 41 goals and contributed 19 assists. Gonzalez served as team captain in her senior year and she earned All-Division, All-County, and All-State accolades in three of her four campaigns. She is the daughter of Jennifer and Carlos Gonzalez. Gonzalez major is Mathematics.
Gonzalez's quote – "I am beyond excited to join these girls again. I think we have a lot to prove but not much to lose and there really isn't a better situation for a player. Within the time I have had off, someone told me every disadvantage has got its advantage and you've got to capitalize on those. I am planning to focus on the path we are on and what I have to do to be able to contribute to a successful season."
Rachel Ingram – Jr. – D/M – 5-2 – Pennsauken, NJ – Pennsauken/Camden County College
Before Saint Peter's, Ingram was a two-year starter at Camden County College where she served as team captain her sophomore year. She helped lead Camden County College to a Region 19 Championship and she earned All-Region Third Team honors. In high school, Ingram was a four-year starter and letter winner on the Pennsauken High School girls' soccer team and she was team captain in her senior year.
Ingram's quote – "I'm so excited to play with this team, and make new friends and experiences all while competing in the game I love. I'm ready to make an impact and see how we can improve as a whole. Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard."
Elizabeth Pacillo – Fr. – D/M – 5-2 – Bridgewater, NJ – Bridgewater-Raritan
Pacillo played for Bridgewater-Raritan High School in New Jersey. The girls' soccer team that she was a member of was consistently ranked in the top five of the state rankings and she was named MVP in the regionals tournament. Pacillo was part of the Jersey United Spartans who were No. 1 in nation and state and went to nationals twice (NC & CO). She was also a consistent starter at Jersey United from U12-U18.

Jillian Pullis – Jr. – Vernon, NJ – Vernon Township/Sussex County Community College
Pullis was a two-year starter for Sussex County Community College where she served as team captain her second year. She led the team to the Region XIX championship and two District Tournaments. Pullis was named team MVP and 2016 Woman of the Year, she was a two-time First Team All-Conference and First Team GSAC member, and she broke the season and career assists records at Sussex County Community College. She attended high school at Vernon Township, NJ where she was a four-year letter winner, senior captain and senior year team MVP. Pullis is the daughter of David and Susan Pullis and she is majoring in Elementary Education.
Victoria Scarratt – Fr. – GK – Montville, NJ – Montville Township
Scarratt started playing high school soccer in her sophomore year, becoming a three-year starter and letter winner at Montville Township High School. A team captain her senior year, she earned Second Team All-Conference accolades in 2015 and 2016. Scarratt ended her high school career with 293 saves. She has also played international soccer in Spain twice during the 2015 Madrid Sur Cup, and the 2016 Donosti Cup. Scarratt is the daughter of Darryl and Patricia Scarratt and she will major in Health and Physical Education.
Scarratt's quote - "I am extremely excited to begin my athletic career at Saint Peter's University. I am eager for the season to get underway. I'm going to give it my all and 100% in every practice and game I play. With focus and determination, I believe the team will accomplish great victories."
