Women's Tennis Begins Second Half of the Season at Columbia

The Saint Peter's women's tennis team will open up the second half of their season on the road in the "City That Never Sleeps" for a match against Columbia University.

 

Scouting - In the fall portion of the season, the Lions only competed in tournaments with no dual meets on the schedule. The Peacocks will be Columbia's second opponent of a doubleheader with the Lion's first match being against Rhode Island on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Last season, Columbia women's tennis finished with a 5-16 overall record and a 1-6 record in the Ivy League.

 

History - History is being made as this is the first time that both teams will see each other across the net. Columbia was ranked No. 10 for their 2017 Recruiting Class by tennisrecruiting.net.

 

Up Next - The women's tennis team returns home for a match on Sunday, January 28 against the Blackbird of LIU Brooklyn. First serve is slated for 2:00 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Yanitelli Recreational Life Center Bubble.
