Saint Peter's Athletics Announces 2020 Hall of Fame Class; Induction Ceremony Set for Feb. 23
The 36th Hall of Fame induction class includes: Johnell Burts (Women's Basketball, Class of 2008), Isaiah Harris (Men's Track, Class of 2014), and Shawn Poling (Football, Class of 2005). Also, joining the three individuals will be the 2007-08 Men's Soccer team, and Theodore "Ted" Kwiatkowski, D.M.D. (Honorary, Class of 1970) and Theresa "Terry" Kwiatkowski (Honorary, Class of 1972). Banks III Garners Pepsi Zero MAAC Rookie of the Week Distinction; Becomes Third Peacock to Win in Four Weeks
Following a career-game at Iona on Jan. 3, Saint Peter's men's basketball freshman guard, Daryl Banks III was honored by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) as the Pepsi Zero Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office. Banks becomes the third Peacock in the last four weeks to win the MAAC Rookie of the Week award, joining twin brothers Fousseyni Drame and Hassan Drame who claimed the awards on Dec. 16 and Dec. 23 respectively. Women's Basketball Announces First Responders Appreciation Game on Feb. 15
The Saint Peter's Athletics Department announced that the women's basketball game on Saturday, February 15 will serve as a First Responders Appreciation game. All first responders and emergency services personnel, as well as active duty military and veterans, can redeem two free tickets at the ticket booth. READ MORE
Women's Basketball Alumni Reunion Set for Feb. 15
This year's reception will be held before the Peacocks' game against Canisius on February 15. The reception will start at 12 p.m. in the McIntyre Conference Center, located in Dinneen Hall, with tip-off set for 2 p.m. in the Yanitelli Center. Swimming and Diving Sweeps MAAC Weekly Awards
A trio of student-athletes from the Saint Peter's University men's and women's swimming and diving teams swept the weekly Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards. Juniors Andrew Galarza and Marie-Christine Geck joined rookie Justine Drake as the honorees for the Peacocks, who were in action over the weekend with a dual match at Pace to round out the 2019 portion of their slate. Softball Announces 2020 Schedule
The Saint Peter's University softball program and head coach Chris Stelma have announced the team's 2020 schedule. The Peacocks' upcoming campaign will consist of 55 games, which include 24 home games at Jaroschak Field. First year head coach Lou Proietti and the Saint Peter's University baseball team have announced the team's 2020 schedule. The Peacocks' 50-game slate includes 17 home games at Jaroschak Field and road trips to seven different states during the non-conference ledger.
