No. 2 Men's Basketball Upends Four-Time Defending Champ Iona in MAAC Quarterfinals
It was déjà vu all over again for No. 2 Saint Peter's and No. 7 Iona on March 11, with the game coming down to a last second shot. And again, for the third time this season, the Peacocks were the victor. Saint Peter's ended the four-time defending champions run with a 56-54 dramatic win in the quarterfinals of the 2020 Hercules Tires MAAC Basketball Championship. 2020 MAAC Rookie of the Year, Aaron Estrada hit the game-winning midrange jumper with 0.9 seconds remaining to propel the Peacocks into the semifinals. Men's Basketball Collects Four MAAC Major Awards
The record-breaking season for the 2019-20 Saint Peter's men's basketball team continued, as the squad collected four out of the five major awards during the annual Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Postseason Awards Show at Adrian Phillips Theatre in Atlantic City. Saint Peter's became the first program in conference history to win four total major awards in the same season. Headlining the major award winners was head coach Shaheen Holloway, who in just his second season at the helm of the Peacocks earned The Rock MAAC Coach of the Year. Sophomore forward KC Ndefo was named as both the MAAC Defensive Player of the Year and Sixth Player of the Year, while freshman guard Aaron Estrada claimed MAAC Rookie of the Year honors. READ MORE

Taiah Thornton Named to All-MAAC Third Team
Redshirt junior Taiah Thornton has been named to the 2020 All-MAAC Third Team, as announced by the conference office. Thornton claims the award as the only Peacock this season to have appeared and started in all 29 regular season games for Saint Peter's. The Pennsauken native finished out the season leading the team in points (436), points per game (15), and steals (69). READ MORE

Men's Basketball Places League-High Four Players on All-MAAC Teams
The historic season for the Saint Peter's men's basketball team continued, with the Peacocks placing a league-high four individuals on All-MAAC teams, announced by the league office today. The quartet of Daryl Banks III, Doug Edert, Aaron Estrada, and KC Ndefo earned five total all-league selections, two more than the next closest MAAC schools of Rider and Siena which had three all-league honors each. Softball Splits Season Finale with Howard
The Saint Peter's University softball team finished its trip in the DMV by splitting a doubleheader at Howard. The Peacocks took the opening ledger, 3-1, thanks to a stellar defensive performance and timely hitting before the Bison split the twin bill with an 8-0 decision in the second bout. READ MORE

Rookies Shine to Highlight Stellar Track & Field Showing at MAAC Indoor Championships
The Saint Peter's University men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up the two-day 2020 MAAC Indoor Championships at The Armory on Feb. 23. While a number of Peacocks put together exceptional performances in the premiere meet of the indoor season, two rookies, in particular, stood out, as freshmen Vernetta Gosier and Jabari Higgs-Salaam both took home special recognition and were named the 2020 MAAC Indoor Track & Field Rookies of the Meet in both circuits, respectively. Baseball Stuns Rutgers on the Road
The Saint Peter's baseball team earned its first victory of the 2020 campaign on Wednesday afternoon, upsetting in-state foe, Rutgers 6-3 in Piscataway. The win was also the first career victory for first-year skipper Lou Proietti. READ MORE
