Sophomore Jabari Higgs-Salaam became the first student-athlete in seven years to qualify for the NCAA Regional Championships. He concluded his 2021 outdoor campaign with a 41st-place showing in the region in his best event, the long jump, punching his ticket to the regional championship after winning the event with a season-best 7.46 meters at the 2021 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Outdoor Championships. Higgs-Salaam also was the runner-up in the event at the ECAC/IC4A Championships a week later and also finished seventh in the triple jump at the league championship, as well.
