The Saint Peter's Athletics Department is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion to achieve and sustain excellence. We believe we can best promote excellence by recruiting and retaining diverse student-athletes, coaches and staff, and by creating a respectful climate that supports their individuality.

The Department is committed to providing an environment for work and study which permits all student-athletes, coaches and staff the opportunity to pursue a career or an education in which they can progress on their merit and ability, without regard to gender, race, creed, color, religion, national origin, alienage, citizenship, ancestry, age, marital or political status, affectional or sexual orientation, gender expression, gender identity, domestic partnership status, disability (including AIDS or HIV infection), pregnancy, breast feeding, liability for service in the United States armed forces, gender identity or expression, genetic information, unemployed status, and/or any other classification protected by law ("Protected Classification"). Actions, words, jokes, or comments based on an individual's Protected Classification will not be tolerated.

The Department is further committed to providing an environment that is totally free of physical, psychological, verbal, or sexual harassment. The Department disapproves of all acts or patterns of sexual harassment of employees and students, regardless of whether they are participants in any federally funded program, and will not tolerate violations of the laws pertaining to such acts by any employee. It is the policy of the University and the Department to take immediate remedial action, when facts are brought to the attention of the appropriate University official.
