The hosts picked up their game however, and forged ahead outscoring Saint Peter's 11-5 for the remainder of the set for the victory.
Jenny Pliska finished with a team-high 17 digs in the loss, while Laura Reinhart added 8.
Saint Peter's returns to MAAC action this weekend, with road contests against Loyola and Rider on October 5th and 6th, respectively.
