The Saint Peter's University men and women's cross country team turned in tremendous efforts this past weekend at the CTC Championships. Both teams finished in the top four, paced by Jaleesa Dunlap and Edwin Young's top-ten finishes.
The women finished in third place, finishing behind Rowan and Stevens who took home first and second place, respectively. Dunlap paced the squad finishing in 10 th with a time of 25:13.71, while junior Shona Potrzuski came in just three spots behind her at 25:29.37.
Natalia Carvalho and Selena Marshall also came in the top-twenty coming in at eighteenth and nineteenth, respectively.
The men came away with a fourth place finish and were led by Edwin Young who took home 7 th place (28:03.21). Teammate Sylvester Inda finished four spots after Young with a time of 28:12.15 and Mohamed Merdan rounded out the top-twenty finishers for Saint Peter's coming in 18 th (28:33.21).
The teams return to action this weekend, as they head to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida on Friday to participate in the 2012 MAAC Championships.
