The Saint Peter's University golf team currently sits tied at third place with Hofstra University following the first day of competition at the Binghamton Fall Invitational.
Both the Peacocks and Pride recorded a team total score of 297 (+9).
Andrew Gain led all Saint Peter's performers in the opening day, tying for fourth with Bryce Edminster of Binghamton, Paul Bruckner of Hofstra, Ryan Triller of Mount St. Mary's, Brandon Smith of Binghamton and Josh Stauffer of St. Bonaventure. Gain and fellow fourth place contestants finished even par, carding a score of 72 on the day.
Brian Grubbs finished tied for 13th with a score of 74 (+2), while Luke Previte (73, +3) finished tied for 19th to round out the Peacocks top 20 performances.
