Golf Finishes Second at Binghamton Invitational

The Saint Peter's University golf team continued their strong play by finishing 2nd in the Binghamton University Invitational this past weekend. This marks the third consecutive competition that the Peacocks have posted a top three finish, dating back to mid-September when the squad finished 3rd at the Rutgers Invitational. The Peacocks entered the Binghamton Invitational after capturing the ECAC Championship last week.

Competing in a 16 team field, the Peacocks finished 2nd to Laval University, of Canada. In doing so, they defeated in-state rivals Seton Hall and Rider, as well as Binghamton, Colgate, Bucknell and Towson, among others.

The Peacocks were lead by Eric  Edmunds, Andrew Gain, and Brian Grubbs, who finished with a two day total of 149. Luke Previte and Nicholas Dilio also played well finishing with two day totals of 151 and 160, respectively.

The Peacocks will compete next in both the Monmouth Invitational and close the season at the Seton Hall Invitational.
