Edison,
N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference
announced today that a total of 88 athletes comprise the 2012 MAAC
Women's Swimming & Diving All-Academic Team. To be
eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must
complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative
grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Loyola University
Maryland led all schools with 19 members named to the team.
Iona College added 13 student-athletes, and Niagara
University had 11 student-athletes. Fairfield University both
added 10, while Marist College had nine members on the team.
Canisius College had seven student-athletes. Manhattan
College, Rider University and Siena College each added five
athletes, while Saint Peter's College rounded out the team
with four athletes. The four Peahens named to the team were: Asala
Halag, Raven Innis, Ena Katavic and Alma Lopez.
