The Saint Peter's College softball team were defeated by the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay by a score of 8-3. The Peahens trailed by only 2 entering the bottom of the fifth, but the Phoenix scored four runs off two hits and an SPC error to extend their advantage to 6-0. Saint Peter's got within three runs after recording three in the top of the sixth, but Green Bay responded with two additional runs in their half of the inning to secure the victory. Carolyn Griffin pitched 1 inning and gave up 2 earned runs, 2 hits and 2 walks to receive the loss.
The Peahens got on the board in the sixth as Lexi Gallagher started the inning getting on base by an error by the Phoenix's shortstop. An RBI groundout by Nicole Olmedo two 4 batters later scored Gallagher for SPC's first run of the game. The Peahens scored their second run on an illegal pitch and recorded their third and last marker on a wild pitch.
Saint Peter's collected 4 hits and committed 4 errors in the game, while Green Bay had 7 and 2, respectively.
Nicole Olmedo led the Peahens going 1-3 with an RBI.
