The Peahens were defeated by the Bucknell Bison 5-2 Thursday afternoon. After trailing 3-0 early on, Saint Peter's managed to cut the deficit to just one run, before the Bison rattled off 2 insurance runs to seal the deal. Taylor Corretjer lead the Peahens going 2-3 from the plate. Erica Colon received the loss, giving up 9 hits, 8 walks and 3 earned runs in 7 innings. Colon also struck out 5.
Two of the Bison's first three runs were unearned, as Saint Peter's committed two errors in the third inning. The Peahens came within one after scoring two markers in the fifth inning off a run scoring triple by Lexi Gallagher to bring home Tori Feorenzo. An RBI groundout by Nicole Olmedo would score Gallagher.
Bucknell added two more runs the following inning off a two RBI base hit.
Nicole Olmedo and Alexis Gallagher each went 1-3 with an RBI for SPC.
