Recap: The Saint Peter's College Peahens dropped a doubleheader to the Iona College Gaels this afternoon, falling 2-1 in game one and 8-0 in game two. In the opener, Iona scored first with a run in the second. The Peahens tied the game in the third on an RBI groundout by Chelsea Crews. The game remained tied until the bottom of the seventh when the Gaels got a runner on who eventually scored on a an error for the 2-1 win. Francesca D'Amato went 2-3 with a run scored in the opener. In game two, Iona scored runs in every inning but the fourth and held the Peahens to just two hits in the 8-0 win. Saint Peter's will return to action tomorrow morning at 11am as they host Niagara at Jaroschak Field.
