NEW HAVEN, CT - The Saint Peter's College golf team took 8th place in the Yale Spring Opener, shooting rounds of 316 and 311 in the 36 hole event. The Peacocks were finished as the low MAAC team in the event, defeating 11th place Manhattan and 12th place Niagara. Senior TJ Sumigray paced the Peacocks, shooting a two round total of 148 and taking home 7th place in the event. Freshmen Brian Grubbs and Eric Edmunds also had a solid showing, shooting 158 and 159 respectively. Luke Previte contributed to the Peacocks first round team score by posting 80 while Nick Trill was the team's fourth score in the afternoon round with an 82.
 
Tennessee took home the team title shooting a two round team total of 574. Dartmouth finished at 591 to finish runner-up while Seton Hall took home third place at 602. Rick Lamb took home the individual title, finishing at one-under par for two rounds. Lamb was the only golfer to finish under par at the event. Peter Williamson of Dartmouth took home second place, finishing at even par, while Garrick Porteous of Tennessee took third place at two-over par.
