Both the men's and women's Indoor Track and Field teams placed 16th at the 11th Annual Great Dane Classic this weekend, hosted by the University of Albany.
The men were led by John Paul Herrera's second place finish in the 400m (52.10). DaShawn Putman also performed well for the Peacocks, finishing 10th in the High Jump with a mark of 1.89m.
On the women's side, freshman Morgan McLaughlin was the highest finisher- coming in 1st in the Long Jump with a leap of 5.56m. Senior Rene Brzyski also had a top finish, running an 8.86 in the 60m Hurdles- good for third place.
Both Natalia Carvalho and Devon Carman finished in the top ten in the 800m, crossing the finish line at 5th and 8th place, respectively. Shona Potrzuski also added a top ten finish in the 1000m; coming in 7th with a time of 3:05.73.
The Peacocks return to the playing field this weekend, for the Metropolitan Championships in New York City.
