In their first home meet of the 2012-13 season, the Saint Peter's men's and women's swimming and diving teams were defeated by the Rider Broncs by scores of 157-134 and 171-111, respectively.
Despite the loss, the Peacocks picked up various first place finishes on both the men's and women's sides.
Senior Lovro Bilonic captured three first place finishes in the 200 Yard Freestyle (1:43.45), 100 Yard Freestyle (47.21) and 200 Yard IM.
Fellow upper classmen Valerijs Lebedevs (200 Yard Butterfly- 1:53.10 & 100 Yard Butterfly- 50.55) and Peter Jimenez (200 Yard Breaststroke- 2:05.88 & 100 Yard Breaststroke- 57.44) each came away with two first place finishes as well.
On the women's side, Alexandra Sison and Rachel Wuko led the way with two first place finishes each. Sison crossed the finish line first in both the 100 Yard Breastroke (1:09.47) and the 200 Yard Breaststroke (2:30.88), while Wuko finished first in the 50 Yard Freestyle (24.84) and the 100 Yard Freestyle (53.70).
Both the men's and women's 200 Yard Medley Relay squads defeated Rider.
The Peacocks return to action on January 26th as they travel to Brooklyn, NY to face St. Francis College at 1pm.
