MADISON, N.J. – The Saint Peter's women's tennis team competed in the NAIAW Tournament at Drew University over the weekend.
Saint Peter's enjoyed success at the tournament, winning in three of the Flight brackets.
Senior Alexandria Livingston (South Orange, N.J./Columbia) led the way for the Peacocks, winning the Flight A bracket by defeating her opponent in straight sets (6-4, 6-0).
In the Flight B championship, freshman Elena Melian Puigventos (Gran Canaria, Spain/Canlebury School of las Palmas) faced off against senior Ivana Grbelja (Kelowna, Canada/Immaculata Regional), with Puigventos prevailing in straight sets (6-2, 6-2).
Senior Vanessa Vogel (Phoenix, Ariz./Boulder Creek) performed well, winning the Flight C bracket in three sets (3-6, 6-3, 10-3).
Saint Peter's returns to action Oct. 17, when they hit the road to compete in the ITA Indoor Regional.
