NEWARK, N.J. – The Saint Peter's women's tennis team is in action at the NJIT Invitational this weekend.
During day one of play, in doubles play, Adina Ungurean-Halagian (Bucharest, Romania/Schiller International School) and Lucia Radovic (Zadar, Crotia/Skola Primientiene Umietnosti Dizajna) was defeated by Cassie Morlock and Sabrina Tahir of Marist. The tandem would rebound, defeating Taylor Holden and Katherine Uy in the consolation round.
The team of Vanessa Vogel (Phoenix, Ariz./Boulder Creek) and Ivana Grbelja (Kelowna, Canada/Immaculata Regional) were defeated in each of their doubles matches.
Radovic was the only Saint Peter's player to earn a victory in singles play, defeating her opponent in straight sets.
Saint Peter's remains in action at the NJIT Invitational. The Invitational is scheduled to conclude on Sunday.
