Saint Peter's Softball Announces 2015 Schedule

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Saint Peter's softball head coach Ken Passante has announced his 46-game schedule for the 2015 season. The schedule features 13 games at Jaroschak Field and 12 games in Florida. 

"I am very happy with the schedule for this year", says Passante, who now enters his second season as softball head coach." It is similar to last year's schedule which is good for us as we continue to move forward with the program. We had some great moments last year and our goal is to continue on an upward swing. I think this schedule will help us keep the course."

The Peacocks open up the season in Maryland at the Towson Tournament on Mar. 6-8. The four-game tournament features a game against MAAC-opponent Manhattan on Mar. 8. 

Following the tournament, Saint Peter's returns to Florida for a 12-game slate at the Rebel Games on Mar. 10-17. The Rebel Games feature rematches against Creighton, Bucknell, Albany (N.Y.) and South Dakota. The Peacocks open up with games against Creighton and Bucknell on Mar. 10. The team returns to action on Mar. 12 against the two non-conference schools.

Saint Peter's plays a pair of games against Hampton on Mar. 14, followed by a pair of games against South Dakota on Mar. 15. The team will close out the trip with two games against Albany (N.Y.) and Wisconsin-Green Bay on Mar. 16-17. 

The Peacocks will continue their road trip when they travel to Philadelphia to take on Saint Joseph's on Mar. 25.  

Saint Peter's opens up Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play on Mar. 28 with a twinbill against Quinnipiac. The Peacocks make their 2015 Jaroschak Field debut on Mar. 29 with a doubleheader against Siena.

The Peacocks open the month of April with a doubleheader against Wagner on Apr. 1, followed by two-game trips to Manhattan on Apr. 4 and Army on Apr. 7. 

Saint Peter's continues its road trip with a double-dip against Fairfield on Apr. 11 before returning home for a doubleheader against Iona on Apr. 12.

The Peacocks will travel to Columbia for two-games on Apr. 16 before returning to Jersey City for a five-game home stand. The home stand highlights an opening weekend of hOURglass rivalry matchups. Saint Peter's will host doubleheaders against Monmouth on Apr. 18 and Rider on Apr. 19. The Peacocks conclude the home stand with a matchup against Fairleigh Dickinson on Apr. 21. 

Saint Peter's travels to Buffalo for weekend doubleheaders against Canisius on Apr. 25 and Niagara on Apr. 26.        

The team wraps up the regular season at home with doubleheaders against Delaware on Apr. 29 and Marist on May 3. 

This season's MAAC Tournament will take place on May 6-10. The top six teams will qualify, but rather than taking place at a predetermined location, the No. 1 seed will serve as host.

The Peacocks finished 10-42 overall and 4-16 in conference play last season.
