BALTIMORE, Md. – Marie Feneron (Molsheim, France/Lycee Henri Meck) and Rachel Wuko (Wildwood Crest, N.J./Wildwood Catholic) both finished fourth to pace the Saint Peter's women's swimming and diving team at the H2ounds Invitational on Friday night. Jonathan Gomez (Cali, Colombia/Patrick Henry [Va.]) placed fifth in an event to power the Peacocks men's swimming and diving team at the event.
Feneron finished fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 2:10.07 while Wuko was fourth in the 50 free with a time of 24.18. Gomez placed fifth in the 200 IM with a time of 1:57.49.
Matea Samardzic (Split, Croati/Ekonomsko-Birotehnicka Skola) finished 0.28 of a second behind Feneron in the 200 IM (2:10.35) to place fifth in the event while Anastasiia Mushtei (Dneiptopnovsh, Ukraine/Finans Deukomi) ended 10th in the 500 free (5:15.47).
Also on the men's side, Nicholas Riepe (Middlesex, N.J./Saint Joseph) placed sixth in the 500 free (4:45.57) and Daniel Gayetsky (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick) was 10th in the event (4:48.04). Igal Oren (Jersey City, N.J./Ort Kiryar Bialik) finished eighth in the 50 free (22.04).
In the women's team competition, Iona (67-33), Loyola (91-16) and Marist (78-29) all posted wins against Saint Peter's while Iona (64-36), Loyola (91-16) and Marist (85-22) each posted wins against the Peacocks' men's squad.
Saint Peter's concludes its 2014 portion of its schedule in the final day of the H2ounds Invitational on Saturday. Events start at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the day.
