Softball Leaves The Rebel Games With A 8-6 Victory Over Howard

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Saint Peter's softball team concluded its time at the Rebel Games on Saturday with a 8-6 victory over Howard.

The Peacocks' offense was clicking early, building a 4-0 advantage after just two innings of play.

Howard got on the board in the second inning, scoring one run to trim the deficit. Saint Peter's responded with another run in the third inning to hold a 5-1 lead.

Saint Peter's expanded on its lead in the fourth inning, scoring three runs to take an 8-1 advantage.

The Bisons did not go away, scoring four runs in the sixth inning to only trail, 8-6. Saint Peter's held on however in the bottom of the seventh, to secure the team's third victory of the season.

The Peacocks split its two games on the final day, suffering a 12-2 loss to Army in the afternoon slate. 

Saint Peter's now stands at 3-13 overall this season.

The Peacocks return to action Mar. 21, when the team travels to Maryland to compete in the UMBC Spring Classic.
