WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Saint Peter's competed its opening day at the West Point Invitational on Friday.
In singles action, Adina Ungurean-Halagian suffered a three-set loss to Sophia Dzulynsky. Lucia Radovic lost her singles contest to Callie Morlock in straight sets. Elena Melian Puigventos dropped a 6-1, 6-0 decision to Agathy Ambrozy of Binghamton University. Claudia Hellman lost her singles matchup against Paulina Tafler of Binghamton in consecutive sets. Christian Resurreccion dropped her singles match against Nicole Mitchell.
In doubles play, the duo of Halagian and Radovic lost to Fairleigh Dickinson, 8-5. The Peacocks went on to lose its other two doubles contests.
The West Point Invitational resumes action tomorrow (Sept.27). Opening serve is slated for 9 a.m.
