Box Score TEANECK, N.J. – Fairleigh Dickinson defeated Saint Peter's 8-0 in non-conference women's soccer action on Friday night.
Lauren Solene (Fall City, Wash./Mount Si) made seven saves for the Peacocks (0-4-0) while Alexandria Couto (Wall, N.J./Wall), Devon Williams (Neptune City, N.J./Neptune [New Jersey City]), Maria Avella (Union, N.J./Union), Carlee Gonzalez (South Plainfield, N.J./South Plainfield) and Ashley Drozd (Baiting Hallow, N.Y./Riverhead) registered a shot apiecein the loss.
Rachel Hoekstra paced the Knights (4-1-0) with two goals while Connie Lewis and Kasey Schiavoni each posted a tally and an assist in the winning effort.
Fairleigh Dickinson scored four times each half en route to a 8-0 win against Saint Peter's.
Esther Rochon got the scoring started 3:04 into the contest off a Katey Arathoon assist on a header from six-yards out.
Hoekstra increased the advantage to two goals off a pass from Amanda Goulet at the 12:17 mark before Hoekstra found the back of the twine again off a Schiavoni helper at 23:28 for a 3-0 lead. Lewis then capped the scoring in the first half off a feed from Giselles Perez at the 30:38 mark for a 4-0 advantage going into the break.
Lewis helped get the scoring started in the second half with an assist on Gabrielle Gibson's tally at 50:45 and then Schiavoni added a tally off a Goulet helper at 52:33 for a 6-0 lead.
Jasmine Cornett found the back of the net off feeders Perez and Audrey Butcher at 88:55 and then Butcher assisted the final goal of the evening off the foot of Jovinna Chalensouk-Khaisaat at 79:17 to seal the 8-0 victory.
Saint Peter's returns to action on Wednesday night at NJIT. Game time is 7 p.m.
