JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Saint Peter's women's basketball game at Rider, originally scheduled for 7 p.m., has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 10.
The Peacocks (1-17, 1-8 MAAC) are coming off a 77-51 loss to Marist on Saturday while Rider (5-14, 2-7 MAAC) is coming off a 43-40 loss to Fairfield last Thursday.
Saint Peter's defeated Rider 50-49 in the first meeting between the two teams on Jan. 2 at the Yanitelli Center.
Talah Hughes (Beacon, N.Y. / Beacon) paced the Peacocks with 11 points and seven rebounds while Robin Perkins fueled the Broncs with 13 points, three rebounds and two steals.
Perkins leads Rider with 12.3 points and 3.4 rebounds per game this season. Sajanna Bethea (Levittown, Pa. / Pennsbury) paces Saint Peter's with 8.1 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.
The Peacocks return to action on Jan. 29, when the team welcomes Niagara to the Yanitelli Center. Game time is slated for 5 p.m. and will be broadcasted on ESPN 3.
