WEST ORANGE, N.J. – Nicholas Riepe (Middlesex, N.J./Saint Joseph) won two events to pace the Saint Peter's swimming and diving team in the season-opening tri-meet at Seton Hall with Montclair State on Friday.
Riepe won the 1000 free with a time of 9:54.09 and the 500 free with a time of 4:52.41 while placing second in the 200 fly with a time of 1:55.75.
Sean Dunne (Holmdel, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy) won the 100 fly (53.05) and placed second in the 100 IM (56.09) while Bence Greifenstein (Budapest, Hungary/Kerek) won the 100 IM (56.68).
Karen Castaneda (Woodbridge, N.J./Woodbridge) won the 200 free (1:59.11) while Christina Petrelis (Belle Mead, N.J./Montgomery) took home first in the 100 IM (1:07.21) and placed third in the 200 fly (2:21.07).
Freshmen Ericka Leynes and Brianni Thomas (Jersey City, N.J./Dickinson) each made their collegiate debut in the tri-meet.
