GAME 25… Sunday's contest between Monmouth and Saint Peter's marks the 30th meeting in the all-time series.
- Monmouth is 18-11 all-time vs. Saint Peter's and has won the previous two meetings.
- The Hawks won a 67-52 decision over the Peacocks on Feb. 5 in Jersey City.
- Antonia Smith fueled Saint Peter's with 15 points and five assists, while Hala Mostafa tallied 12 points.
- Four players finished in double-figures for Monmouth, including Helena Kurt who finished with 16 points.
ABOUT THE HAWKS… Monmouth comes into Sunday's tilt 9-15 overall and 5-10 in league play.
- The Hawks are coming off a 65-55 loss to Rider on Friday and have lost two straight overall.
- Sarah Olson paces Monmouth with 12.6 points per game.
- Helena Kurt averages 9.6 points overall this season, but averages 10.2 points in MAAC play.
- Christina Mitchell is the team's leading rebounder, grabbing 7.0 boards per contest.
LAST TIME OUT… The Peacocks are coming off a 67-65 loss to Iona on Thursday.
- Antonia Smith and Sajanna Bethea paced the Peacocks with 16 points each.
- Hala Mostafa tallied 14 points, seven rebounds, two steals and one block.
- Saint Peter's scored a season-high 35 points in the first half.
- The Gaels held the Peacocks scoreless for the final 3:12 to rally back for the season sweep.
NEXT ON TAP… Saint Peter's returns to action on Feb. 19 with an early morning contest at Quinnipiac. Game time is set for 11 a.m.
FRESHMEN IMPACT… Through 24 games this season, a freshman has paced the Peacocks in either points or rebounds 19 times.
IRON WOMAN… Bridget Whitfield has been a staple in the Peacocks lineup this season.
- She has started every game this season and has started in 52 consecutive games dating back to the 2013-14 campaign.
CLIMBIN' UP THE RECORD BOOKS… During her time at Saint Peter's, Hala Mostafa has amassed 94 blocks. She is currently eighth all-time in program history.
- Mostafa trails Marie Ulysse (1993-97), who is seventh all-time with 104 blocks.
COLLEGIATE DEBUTS… Sajanna Bethea, Samantha Meier, Alyssa Velles and Talah Hughes all made their collegiate debuts against Stony Brook on Nov. 15.
- Bethea paced the Peacocks in her collegiate debut, scoring 13 points and grabbing eight boards.
- Meier tallied eight points and three blocks in her collegiate debut.
- Velles finished with a game-high four assists in her first collegiate action.
- Hughes recorded two rebounds in 10 minutes of action.
PRESEASON POLL… Saint Peter's was picked 11th in the MAAC Preseason Coaches Poll. Marist and Quinnipiac finished tied with 112 points to be selected as preseason co-favorites. Iona, Fairfield, Niagara, Rider, Manhattan, Canisius, Monmouth, Siena and Saint Peter's round out the 11-team poll.
THE SCHEDULE… Saint Peter's will play 14 games at the Yanitelli Center and 15 on the road.
- The Peacocks have three different three-game home stands during the season.
- Saint Peter's will play games in four states (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland).
- During the non-conference slate, the Peacocks will face teams from the America East (Stony Brook), Big East (Seton Hall), Northeast Conference (Fairleigh Dickinson), Patriot League (Lehigh, Loyola, Lafayette, Navy) and Ivy League (Yale).
NEW TO THE FLOCK… Saint Peter's will have six newcomers eligible to play in 2014-15.
- Rebecca Sparks and Imani Martinez both sat out last season due to NCAA Division I transfer regulations. Sparks played one season at St. Francis (Pa.) before coming to Jersey City. Martinez played one season at Tennessee State before coming to Saint Peter's.
- Freshmen Sajanna Bethea, Talah Hughes, Alyssa Velles and Samantha Meier join the team this season.
FAMILIAR FACES… In addition to six newcomers, the Peacocks also return eight letterwinners from last year's team.
- Senior G Antonia Smith is the lone senior on the team and is the team's top-returning scorer averaging 9.4 points per game. Smith scored in double-figures in 13 games last season.
- Senior G Teresa Corchado appeared in 29 games last season, including 10 starts.
- Junior G Bridget Whitfield averaged 3.7 points and 3.2 rebounds last season as a sophomore. She appeared in all 30 games, including 28 starts.
- Junior F Neechelle Ingram is the team's top-returning rebounder after grabbing 3.6 boards per game last season.
- Junior F Hala Mostafa averaged 5.5 points and 2.9 rebounds last season and was among the conference leaders in blocks per game with 1.4.
- Sophomore F Kaycee DeVoogd appeared in 27 games in her freshman season. She shot 85% from the free throw line last year.
- Sophomore G Marcia Senatus averaged 4.8 points in 10 appearances for the Peacocks last season.
KEEPING IT IN THE FAMILY… The DeVoogd family tree continues at Saint Peter's. Kaycee DeVoogd is the daughter of Sebastiaan DeVoogd, who played on the men's basketball team. He was the starting center for the 1994-1995 MAAC championship team.
COACHING STAFF… Pat Coyle enters her second season at the helm as Saint Peter's Women's Basketball Head Coach.
