Grubbs Paces Saint Peter's Men's Golf After One Round At Whiting-Turner Towson Invitational

GRASONVILLE, Md. – Brian Grubbs (Cortez, Colo./Montezuma Cortez) finished the first round in 14th place to lead the Saint Peter's men's golf team to an 11th-place standing at the Whiting-Turning Towson Invitational on Saturday.

Grubbs shot a 77 in the first round to finish the day in 14th place, six strokes behind the co-leaders.

Nicholas Dilio (Hopewell Junction, N.Y./John Jay) (46th place, 81), Eric Edmunds (Skaneateles, N.Y./Skaneateles) (53rd place, 82), Dominic Diaz (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) (71st place, 84) and Brandon Molson (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) (71st place, 84) rounded out the Peacocks five competitors.

William & Mary leads the two-round, two-day event with a score of 300, two strokes ahead of Arkansas (302) while Towson (312), Colgate (313) and Hofstra (314) rounded out the Top-5 teams. Saint Peter's ranks 11th after one round of competition with a score of 324.

The Peacocks conclude the Whiting-Turner Towson Invitational on Sunday. Tee times start at 9:50 a.m. for Saint Peter's.
