Molson Leads Saint Peter's Men's Golf In First Event Of The Spring

CAPE KENNEDY, Fla. – Brandon Molson (Middlesex, N.J./Middlesex) paced Saint Peter's in a dual match against Eastern Florida State on Monday. The Titans defeated the Peacocks by 15 strokes (379-394) with five players counting toward the team score.

Molson shot best round of the afternoon and the second-best round of the day among the 12 competitors, carding a 74 in the one round. Molson finished three shots behind the best Eastern Florida State golfer.

"I was very pleased with our efforts," said head coach Pete Falloon, the two-time Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. "We played very well on a difficult course and held our own for our first time out in the spring against a great program."

Brian Grubbs (Cortez, Colo./Montezuma Cortez) (77), Nicholas Dilio (Hopewell Junction, N.Y./John Jay) (80), Dominic Diaz (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) (81), Eric Edmunds (Skaneateles, N.Y./Skaneateles) (82) and Sean Trainor (White Plains, N.Y./White Plains) (90) also competed for Saint Peter's, who was participating in its first event since October. Trainor saw his first action on the year.

The Peacocks return to the green at the Whiting Turner Towson Invitational on Mar. 28-29 at the Prospect Bay Country Clun in Graysonville, Md.
