NEWARK, N.J. – The Saint Peter's track and field team nabbed nine first place finishes at the Brick City Classic hosted by NJIT on Sunday.
The Peacocks captured first places in each the men and women's pole vault events. Osafi Fordyce (Newark, N.J. / Weequahic) took home the first place finish with a vault of 3.96-meters. Alexandra Moffatt recorded a height of 3.04-meters.
In the men's triple jump, Aondofa Anyam (Exton, Pa. / Church Farm School) finished in first with a 13.52-meter effort. Kenny Aneke (Long Island, N.Y. / Holy Trinity) earned the first place finish in the men's shot put with a toss of 14.39-meters. Ieshawn Johnson (Long Island, N.Y. / Baldwin) placed first in the men's discus event with a 47.57-meter performance. His toss was an IC4A/ECAC qualfying mark.
Nkeka Pinheiro (Ajax, Ontario / Ajax) earned a pair of first place finishes in the 100 and 200-meter runs. Alli-Safyer Kelly-Blackwood (Roselle, N.J. / Union County Vo-Tech) finished first in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:09.04.
In the women's high jump, Meredith Przybocki (Pine Bush, N.Y. / Pine Bush) finished in first with a leap of 1.60-meters. Jennifer Cajou (Amityville, N.Y. / Farmingdale) nabbed the first place finish in the women's triple jump with an 11.27-meter effort.
The women's team took home second place finishes in the three of the four throwing events, including the women's shot put, discus and hammer.
Michael Marcano (Roselle, N.J. / Roselle Catholic) finished third overall in the 100-meter run with a time 11.02-seconds. Jermaine Lascelles (Bloomfield, Conn. / Bloomfield) earned a pair of second place finishes in the 400-meter and the high jump.
Saint Peter's returns to action on May 2-3, when the team competes in the 2015 MAAC Outdoor Championships.
