Jermaine Lascelles (Bloomfield, Conn. / Bloomfield) and David Brosier (Willingboro, N.J. / Burlington County Institute of Tech.) both broke the Saint Peter's standard for the indoor 400-meter dash running 48.44 and 48.373 respectively at the NYC Gotham Cup on Friday. Lascelle's time is currently leading the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Both Brosier and Lascelles have qualified for the IC4As in March.
Nkeka Pinheiro (Ajax, Ontario / Ajax) paced the women's team for the sprints posting a time of 7.86 in the 60-meter dash and 25.77 in the 200-meter dash, both season bests.
Shaka Shomari (Hempstead, N.Y. / Holy Trinity High School) paced the men's team in the 60-meter dash, running 7.12 seconds. Percy Martin Oguike (Woodbridge, N.J. / Woodbridge) ran 8.65 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles. Wellington Brown (Union, NJ / Union High School) placed seventh overall jumping 6.89 meters in the long jump.
Raquel Henderson (Ocean Twp, N.J. / Ocean Township) ran 59.16 seconds in the 400-meter dash, Suzenie St. Germain (Linden, N.J. / Linden High School) ran 9. 51 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles, and Georgie Nicholes (Center Moriches, N.Y. / Center Moriches) ran 5:36.09 in the mile run.
Hasaana Smith (Newark, NJ / Malcolm X. Shabazz) cleared a height of 1.60 meters in the high jump and Alexander Moffatt (Smithville, Texas / Smithville) cleared a height of 3.30 meters in the pole vault. Hajara Abubakar (Garfield, N.J. / Garfield High School) jumped 5.05 meters in the long jump and Meredith Przybocki (Pine Bush, N.Y. / Pine Bush) jumped 10.44 meters in the triple jump.
Adia Ledbetter (Linden, N.J. / Roselle Catholic) threw 11.87 meters, pacing the women's team in the shot put while Chandler Copeland (Manchester, N.J. / Manchester Twp.) threw 12.16 meters in the weight throw.
The Peacocks will head to Boston for the John Thomas Terrier Classic at the Track & Tennis Center on January 30.
