READING, Pa. – The Saint Peter's women's bowling team downed New Jersey City University in the second day of the Golden Bear Classic on Saturday. The Peacocks went 1-5 on the day in the baker tournament hosted by Kutztown.
Saint Peter's defeated New Jersey City University 907-662 in the second match of the day.
The Peacocks started the second day of the invitational with an 826-819 loss to Sacred Heart and fell 887-868 to Mount Aloysius in the third match. Caldwell downed the Jersey City team 844-800 while Morgan State defeated Saint Peter's 930-862 and St. Francis Brooklyn took a 918-771 in the final match of the day.
The Peacocks, who went 2-3 in the first day, finished the round robin portion of the tournament 3-8. Saint Peter's will open bracket play against New Jersey City University on Sunday.
