Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall swept a non-conference doubleheader against Saint Peter's on Tuesday. The Pirates won the opener 8-2 and then took the nightcap, 6-3.

Samantha Storms (Lake Geneva, Wisc./William Bay) paced the Peacocks (0-15) with three hits and a run scored. Kirsten Kelley (Seaford, N.Y./General Douglas McArthur) added two hits and an RBI and Harley Connors (Mason, Ohio/William Mason) smacked a two-run homer in the opener.

Valerie Suto posted five hits, four runs scored and an RBI to power the Pirates (17-13) while Noel Lent added three hits, four RBIs and a run scored on the afternoon.

In the second game, the contest became a seesaw battle with the teams trading the advantage until Seton Hall posted four runs in the bottom of the sixth to take a 6-3 victory.

Seton Hall scored four in the sixth to take a 6-3 lead after a Destini Peck RBI single to left center, a Suto sacrifice bunt and a Alexis Walkden two-run single up the middle.

After three and a half scoreless innings, the Pirates took the lead on an RBI double from Head in the fourth inning only to see Saint Peter's come back to tie the game at 1 in the fifth.

Crystal Carlucci (Iselin, N.J./John D. Kennedy Memorial) walked to lead off the fifth, stole second and came around to score on Kelley's RBI single to knot the game at 1.

Seton Hall retook the lead with a run in the bottom of the fifth on a Lent RBI double down the left field line for a 2-1 edge.

The Peacocks stormed back with two runs in the sixth to grab a 3-2 lead. Storms started the rally with a single to center before Lee Harrison (Las Vegas, Nev./Cornado) followed with a single to center of her own and pinch hitter Alyssa Cuevas (Sylmar, Calif./Bishop Alemany) loaded the bases with a single up the middle. Carlucci and Stacey Klempel (Winter Garden, Fla./Ocoee) then coaxed back-to-back bases loaded walks to bring home two runs to reclaim the lead.

The Pirates then scored four times in the bottom of the inning to secure the victory.

Seton Hall erased an early two-run deficit and scored the final eight runs to earn an 8-2 win in the opener.

Saint Peter's grabbed a 2-0 lead in the third inning after Sophia Perez (Bridgewater, Mass./Bridgewater-Raynham Regional) doubled down the left field line and touched home on Connors second home run of the season.

The Pirates answered in the bottom of the inning with five runs to take a 5-2 advantage. Noel started the five-run outburst with a three-run homer to give the South Orange team the lead for good before Madison Strunk added an RBI groundout and Brianna Wallace scored on a wild pitch.

Seton Hall added three runs in the fifth on RBI singles by Alex Rabbetts and Chris Head before the third run came across on an error for an 8-2 advantage.

Tiffani Lambert (Lincroft, N.J./Middletown South) took the loss in the opener and Noea Pizana (Royse City, Texas/Royse City) took the loss in the nightcap.
