ALBANY, NY - Despite the wind, the Saint Peter's Track and Field team placed in several events at the Albany Spring Classic on Saturday.
Mike Marcano (Roselle, NJ / Roselle Catholic) notched third place in 100-meter dash, running 10.76, a career personal best. Ken Brosier (Willingboro, N.J. / Burlington County Institute of Tech.) placed third in the 400-meter dash (48.36). Jermaine Lascelles (Bloomfield, Conn. / Bloomfield) secured third place in men's high jump, clearing a height of 2.02 meters.
Marcano ran a time of 21.96 in the 200-meter dash, placing sixth. He was followed by Dexter Valley (West Orange, NJ / West Orange High School) who ran 20.27. Freshman David Miller (Willingboro, N.J. / Willingboro) placed eighth overall in the 400-meter hurdles (59.37).
The men's 4x400-meter team came in fourth overall with a time of 3:26.78. Aondofa Anyam (Exton, Pa. / Church Farm School) cleared a height of 1.92 meters, placing sixth in men's high jump. Freshman Joe Egri placed third in the men's pole vault, clearing 4.25 meters. Egri also secured ninth place in the men's long jump, jumping 6.41 meters.
Alexandra Moffatt (Smithville, Texas / Smithville) placed second overall in the women's long jump, jumping 5.36 meters. Moffatt placed eighth in women's triple jump with a distance of 10.49 meters. Freshman Hajara Abubakar (Garfield, N.J. / Garfield) followed with a distance of 10.17 meters.
Ashe Davis (Roosevelt, N.Y. / Roosevelt) paced the Peacocks in the women's 200-meter dash (26.53). Freshman Daija King (Hillsborough, N.J. / Hillsborough) placed ninth overall in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.08. Suzenie St. Germain (Linden, N.J. / Linden High School) notched tenth placed in the 100-meter hurdles (15.27).
The Peacocks will compete in the Lions Invitational in Ewing, NJ on April 30.
